The Intro-To-Cave Diving class is designed to prepare cavern divers to enter and safely dive underwater caves with limited penetration and no decompression.
Intro-To-cave Divers will learn the following skills:
How to correctly configure equipment, plan and execute an underwater cave dive within No Decompression Limits.
Emphasis is placed on air management, correct body position, emergency procedures, Cave Awareness and Cave line reel deployment and penetration techniques.
The Intro-to-Cave course is conducted over a minimum of 4 dives:
Into-To-Cave Certification Requirements: Intro-To-Cave Certification of training will be issued once the student has safely demonstrated all learned techniques specific to the Intro-To-Cave Diver level.
The Intro-To-Cave Diver Student will be required to have additional equipment beyond Cavern Diver standards to participate in the Intro-To-Cave course.
Intro-to Cave Certification Equipment Requirements: Intro-To-cave Student must have a Primary Cave Penetration Reel, a Safety Reel (x 2), and Three underwater lights of which one must be equivalent to 10 watt HID and have sufficient burn time to last longer than the planned dive time. Two (x 2) Regulators , one with a long hose and a means of monitoring Depth Time and Air.
Intro-to-Cave Class Prerequisites: Cavern Certification from a recognized training agency, Minimum Age 18 years, Cavern Training may be added to this class for a combined Cavern Intro-To Cave Training course.
