Description;
One of the very first flowers of spring. Bright white flowers 1-1 1/2 inshes in diameter apear before the dark grey green leathery leaves. An excellent foliage leaf.
Cultivation / Conditions;
Rich woods, Sandy river bankings. Plant in groups or colonies. Plant with the bud tips just below the surface with the root (bulb) running horizontal just underneath the soil. Benifits from a yearly application of general fertilizer. Avoid excessive moisture as it will tend to rot the bulbs. Needs direct sunlight in the spring before the forest canopy fills in. Great for edges. Mulch with ground deciduous leaves. Sandy rich well drained soil with high organic content.
Propagation;
After the plant has flowered, dig the corms and remove the offsets and set them deep in similar soil mixture. Mulch well with deciduous leaves. Transplant and be sure not to let the tiny corms dry out. Sow seeds when harvested mulching with decidious leaf mold.

Shipping/Delivery
Bare root plants are shipped September through May, while the plants are still dormant root stock. Please state how and when you would like your order shipped (Sept.-May). Ordering early is the best way to secure availability and your chosen delivery date. We Fall ship bare root nursery stock Sept. 1st - Nov. 15th. We Spring ship April 10th - May. Other arrangements can be made on some plants. Each shipment is accompanied by a certificate of inspection. Please state how and when you would like your order shipped. We normally ship ups or USPS. If there are no shipping instructions, we will ship when we think is best. Ordering early is the best means of securing your delivery date. Please Contact us with any shipping questions.

Payment is expected at time of ordering unless otherwise arranged. $25 minimum order USDA. All sales are final and all claims must be made within 7 days of receipt of plants. -Free shipping on orders over $250.00. -$19.95 shipping on orders under $100.00.

We have a wholesale catalog available upon verification of a resale certificate #. If your package is damaged when you receive it, please make a note on the delivery slip and alert the shipper (ups/USPS) so that a claim may be filed.
