Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Michael J. Catalfimo is a Shareholder and Chief Operating Officer of Carter, Conboy, Case, Blackmore, Maloney & Laird, P.C., where he concentrates his practice on creditors' rights, business litigation, and civil litigation. He is also a national expert on foreclosure law, having lectured to attorneys across the country on the latest laws and procedures involving repossessions, motion practice, residential foreclosures, and foreclosure sales. Mr. Catalfimo, a graduate of Boston College Law School, has served as an adjunct professor of business law, currently serves on the arbitration and mediation panels of the U.S. District Court, and is the past president of both his county bar association and Federation of Bar Associations. He is “AV” Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell and "Superb" rated by Avvo.

2. Jeffrey R. Erler is a Partner at Bell Nunnally, where he practices in the areas of insolvency and creditor's rights, including bankruptcy-related litigation. He has extensive experience representing secured and unsecured creditors, lessors, and committees in bankruptcy reorganizations and liquidations, bankruptcy litigation, and pre- and post-bankruptcy workout and foreclosure matters. He also specializes in out of court workouts, personal property repossession and sales under Article Nine of the Uniform Commercial Code, and real estate foreclosures. Mr. Erler is an experienced litigator and represents clients in all stages of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, dispute resolution, trial and appeal. He is also a widely sought after speaker on creditor representation, foreclosures, and related issues, including collection efforts and bankruptcy. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and has been listed as a SuperLawyer.

3. Dustin A. Zacks is a partner and trial lawyer at King, Nieves & Zacks, PLLC. He previously practiced at a leading boutique firm nationally known for its tough defense against “robo-signers” and fraudulent loan practices. Mr. Zacks has successfully represented countless homeowners, handled hundreds of foreclosure cases, conducted ground-breaking depositions of bank officers, and argued motions in numerous courts that have resulted in the issuance of highly favorable precedent for homeowners. The former Ohio Secretary of State cited his depositions of a bank officer as possible grounds for a potential criminal investigation into the foreclosure practices of Chase Home Finance. Mr. Zacks has appeared on various national and local media outlets to speak about foreclosure and real estate issues, including CBS Evening News, BBC World News America, National Public Radio, Fox Business Channel, Washington Post, USA Today, Reuters, Associated Press, Bloomberg, MarketWatch, Euromoney Magazine, AOL Real Estate, among others. He has also lectured nationally on fighting fraud and contesting standing in foreclosure disputes.
