Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Christina Berish is a business litigation partner at Thompson Coburn LLP, where she serves as a legal advisor and trial counsel to a diverse portfolio of clients. She is experienced in handling all stages of litigation – both in and out of the courtroom – and has appeared in state and federal courts across the country in trials and appeals. Some of her notable areas of representation have involved contract enforcement, shareholder disputes, fraud, business torts, warranty matters, property litigation, appeals, and arbitration. Christina has been recognized by her peers, in “SuperLawyers” each year since 2009. Ms. Berich has represented clients in many sectors including manufacturing & steel, financial, telecommunications, consulting, construction & building materials, accounting, and education, in addition to non-profit organizations. She is a graduate of the University Michigan Law School.

2. Damian D. Capozzola is a leading trial lawyer, representing among the most prominent and largest insurers and health plans. In addition, Mr. Capozzola has also handled significant litigation matters across a broad spectrum of industries, representing some of the world's largest defense contractors, food manufacturers and wholesalers, and telecommunications companies. He has extensive experience in taking and defending depositions, and he has written and lectured on litigation strategies, including the effective use of technology in the courtroom, as well as working with experts. For the last seven years, he has been a co-author of the Trial Practice Series treatise, Expert Witnesses in Civil Trials: Effective Preparation and Presentation. A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, Mr. Capozzola has been listed in SuperLawyers and appointed by the governor of his state to the Law Revision Commission.
