Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. James R. Mozingo is the Managing Partner of Mozingo | Quarles, PLLC, where he focuses his practice on business and commercial transactions and in the areas of business and commercial litigation, bankruptcy and debtor/creditor relations. Mr. Mozingo has practiced for over 40 years and is an AV, peer-rated, lawyer in the Martindale-Hubbell listings. He has been named as one of his state’s 50 leading attorneys and served on the Board of Bar Admissions, examining in the fields of business organizations and bankruptcy. Mr. Mozingo has also served on numerous committees with the National Conference of Bar Examiners. He has handled a wide variety of transactions throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, Italy and Spain and with companies in the Far East. He has appeared in state and Federal courts throughout the nation. Mr. Mozingo has spoken widely on veil piercing and protection.

2. Christopher Peterson practices at Husch Blackwell LLP, where he focuses on helping clients large and small in transportation, manufacturing, retail, energy and aviation, among other sectors. He drafts, negotiates and reviews end-to-end deals including subsidiary reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions. Mr. Peterson provides a range of commercial transactions, including the following agreements: distribution, nondisclosure, service and master service, vendor, sales & lease, software/hardware/technology, procurement, and real estate purchase. In addition to his corporate law practice, Mr. Peterson served as associate general counsel to a regional retail and energy company. He is familiar with the day-to-day legal demands that businesses face and he brings this understanding to each deal and every client. He holds both a J.D. and Masters in Business Administration.
