Lawrence Friedman is a certified elder law attorney and recognized expert on trust and estate administration. Trained at the distinguished NYU Law School’s Tax program, Mr. Elder focuses his practice on estate and tax planning & administration, long term care planning, elder law, nursing home planning, guardianships, special needs planning, as well as on obtaining government benefits like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and housing. He has been certified as an elder law attorney by the ABA and approved by the National Elder Law Foundation. Mr. Friedman has been selected as a SuperLawyer and received the highest peer view rating of AV-preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell. He also chaired his bar's Elder & Disability Law Section. Mr. Friedman has spoken and written extensively on trust administration and elder law. He holds an LL.M. in Tax and a J.D., both from NYU Law School.

Howard S. Krooks is an authority on guardianships & a certified elder law by the National Elder Law Foundation. A Partner at Elder Law Associates PA and Of Counsel to Amoruso & Amoruso LLP, Mr. Krooks devotes his practice to elder law and trusts and estates matters, including representing seniors and persons with special needs and their families in connection with asset preservation planning, supplemental needs trusts, Medicaid, Medicare, planning for disability, guardianship, wills, trusts and health care planning with advance directives. He is the President-Elect of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and Past Chair of the Elder Law Section of his state bar. Selected as a SuperLawyer and AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, Mr. Krooks has spoken and written widely on guardianship issues, including serving as an adjunct faculty member at NYU and serving as an instructor for his state’s Certified Guardian & Court Evaluator Training program. He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Kiplinger’s, USA Today, The New York Post, Newsday, and also appeared on PBS and the CBS Early Morning show.

Patricia Keane Martin is a Partner at Bowditch & Dewey and noted lecturer on special needs planning, elder law, and probate controversies. Ms. Martin concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, elder law, disability benefits planning, probate and trust administration, and litigation as well as other matters in the Probate and Family Courts such as guardianships and conservatorships. In addition, she regularly acts as a trustee of special needs trusts and as a court appointed guardian ad litem. In addition to previously serving as an adjunct faculty member at Northeastern University, Ms. Martin has testified before her state’s House legislator on personal care & managerial services contracts for families caring for elderly relatives, as well as addressed legal conferences on special needs financial planning, estate planning, and best probate practices.
