Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Dr. Bart A. Basi, Ph.D., is a nationally recognized attorney, certified public accountant, and business consultant. He is a Senior Advisor at Basi, Basi & Associates, where he focuses his practice on financial accounting, business succession, business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, retirement and estate planning, strategic planning, and tax aspects of business decisions for closely held and family businesses. He is a highly sought-after lecturer and author on corporate. He has published five books, fourteen workbooks, and over 300 articles, and has worked with hundreds of businesses and associations. Journals that have published Dr. Basis’ work include Money Matters, The American Journal of Small Business, The Journal of Family Law, The Journal of Estate Planning, The Tax Lawyer, Small Business Taxation, Taxation for Individuals, Taxation for Accountants, Taxation for Lawyers, The CPA Journal and The Tax Executive. Dr. Basi has served on the faculties of Southern Illinois University, Penn State University, Indiana University, The University of Louisville, and Syracuse University. He is listed in Harvard Business School Profiles in Business and Management.

2. Jeff Neurman has substantial experience in the corporate legal world. Prior to founding Neurman Law, PLLC, Mr. Neurman practiced at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he focused on a wide array of corporate matters. He has advised clients on debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, derivatives and corporate formations. Mr. Neurman has acted as a senior attorney on numerous initial public offerings for companies in a diverse range of industries ranging from apparel to financial exchanges. He has also served as a general counsel of a venture capital firm, where he concentrated on investor agreements, financings, dissolutions, employment issues and litigation.
