Josh Ashley Klayman is the U.S. Head of Fintech and Head of Blockchain and Digital Assets at Linklaters LLP. Ms. Klayman is a highly sought-after lecturer on blockchain in the U.S. and around the world, having lectured before numerous government regulators, attorneys, judges and at leading universities. She is a director of the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance and chairs its legal working group, and is a member of the University of Pennsylvania - Wharton Reg@Tech think tank. Passionate about the advancement of women and other diverse groups, Ms. Klayman is a co-founder of the non-profit Diversity in Blockchain, Inc. and a founding member of Collective Future. She is also on the advisory board of a number of blockchain companies, both nonprofit and for-profit. She is a Forbes contributor for blockchain and crypto matters and her articles have been featured in numerous other major publications, including Coindesk and Crowdfund Insider. Among other publications, she authored a chapter, “Mutually Assured Disruption: The Rise of the Security Token” in the first-ever global treatise on blockchain and cryptocurrency, published by Global Legal Insights.

Brian Korn is a Partner at Manatt, where he leads the firm’s fintech and blockchain and cryptocurrency practices. His practice focuses on corporate finance transactions. Over the past five years, Brian has led more than 100 deals, including initial public offerings (IPOs), early-stage and start-up venture financings, fund formations, and high-yield debt financings. He also advises clients on SEC and broker-dealer/investment advisory compliance, corporate swap transactions, and blockchain technology. Mr. Korn has extensive experience representing issuers and underwriters in investment banking and capital markets transactions, including special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs), spin-offs, split-offs and carveout/tracking stock transactions. He also has extensive experience in sponsor-leveraged buyouts and bank/bond acquisition financing. His deep technical knowledge of the fintech space has contributed to the Manatt fintech team’s track record of success in advising cutting-edge fintech startups. He was recognized by The Legal 500 for being “very active in the fintech platform and Regulation A space. Jon Van Loo is a Partner at Scale LLC, where he brings over 15 years’ experience providing tax advice to clients ranging from global public companies to start-ups and individuals facing complex tax situations. Mr. Van Loo’s current practice focuses on U.S. tax matters for: mergers & acquisitions (especially venture-backed private companies), formation and operation of private investment funds, cryptocurrency, foreign corporations entering the U.S., individuals expatriating from the U.S., business restructurings, and real estate transactions.
