Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Herald Price Fahringer is one of the most respected trial attorneys in the nation. Over a career spanning more than 50 years, Mr. Fahringer has argued and/or briefed 15 cases before the Supreme Court of the United States, as well as 400 cases before the federal Courts of Appeals and numerous state supreme courts. Mr. Fahringer has also tried or argued cases in 25 states. His experience includes white-collar criminal defense in federal and state prosecutions involving Fraud, Conspiracy, Money Laundering, Importation and Distribution of Illegal Drugs, Obstruction of Justice, Espionage, Larceny, Arson, Homicide and Pornography, as well as the trial of Free Speech cases. Mr. Fahringer’s successful courtroom skills were depicted in a major motion picture. He has been recognized for excellence in practice and contributions to the laws by countless entities and multiple universities. Mr. Fahringer has been invited to lecture at Harvard Law School, NYU Law School, Cornell Law School, and the University of California Law School, among others. He has appeared on national televisions programs, including Good Morning America, Inside Edition, American Justice, and has served as a legal commentator for CNN. Mr. Fahringer is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, the International Society of Barristers, and the American Board of Criminal Lawyers.

2. Anthony Rodriguez is a nationally respected trial attorney and Partner at Morrison Foerster. His securities litigation practice has included numerous complex and high-profile representations of corporations, board committees and individual directors, and corporate officers in class action and derivative litigation, SEC matters, and internal investigations. His experience crosses an array of industry sectors, and has spent years following, and has published articles on, developments in the law regarding outside directors’ “due diligence” defense to actions under the Securities Act of 1933. Mr. Rodriguez has extensive experience defending companies in antitrust and unfair competition claims. His peers have rated him "AV Preeminent" in the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings.

3. Seth A. Gastwirth is a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis, where he has made a national reputation as trial counsel in commercial, class action, energy, intellectual property, product liability, consumer fraud, securities, corporate governance, bankruptcy and contract litigation in state and federal courts, arbitrations and administrative proceedings. His exceptional skills have led him to be listed in Super Lawyers Magazine, in Benchmark Litigation, and in Definitive Guide to America's Leading Litigation Firms & Attorneys. Mr. Gastwirth served a trial counsel to one of the largest worldwide corporations in a breach of contract dispute; following trial, the Court ruled in his client's favor on every element of injunction standard and denied an injunction. In another matter, Mr. Gastwirth serves as trial counsel to a major manufacturer in a consumer class action. He successfully defeated certification of the class. Mr. Gastwirth is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
