Judith D. Grimaldi is a partner in the pioneering elder law firm Grimaldi and Yeung LLP. Ms. Grimaldi’s perspective on the issues facing the elderly and disabled is unique; it was shaped by more than a decade of field experience as a social worker. In this capacity, Ms. Grimaldi served as Director of a prominent Community Care Organization and as a college instructor in Gerontology. In addition, she was a community relations and family coordinator at a large psychiatric center. Each of these positions provided Ms. Grimaldi with unique, first-hand encounters with the day-to-day impact of aging and disability. As an attorney for the past two decades, Ms. Grimaldi has represented the rights of the elderly and disabled. She has special expertise on Medicare and Medicaid, health law, trusts and wills and estates. Her particular focus is on family caregivers and homecare. Ms. Grimaldi is a Certified Elder Law Attorney. She has received numerous awards of excellence in practice, including being named one of her state's "Best Lawyers," listed as a SuperLawyer, and being peer review rated for ethical standards and legal ability through Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Grimaldi is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, is the Immediate Past President of her state's NAELA Chapter, serves as an editor of the NAELA NEWS and is a member of NAELA’s Council of Advanced Practitioners, and serves on the Executive Committee of her state bar association's Elder Law Section, among numerous bar leadership positions. She has written on elder law issues for Newsday and has appeared on the "New York Voices" program for PBS as well as Bill Moyers’ PBS special on end of life choices.

Avery J. Mayne practices at Walny Legal Group LLC, where she focuses her practice on guardianships, special needs, divorce and long-term care planning. She concentrates her practice in family law, elder law and guardianship. As part of Ms. Mayne’s Elder Law practice, she helps families and individuals with Medicaid (Title XIX) asset protection planning. Additionally she assists clients seeking eligibility for long-term care benefits in the pre-planning and crisis planning stages. When working with families for specialized disability and special needs planning, Ms. Mayne utilizes special needs trusts and other unique planning tools available for individuals with special needs. She also represents clients with disabled family members in adult guardianship proceedings. In guardianship actions, Ms. Mayne is experienced with petitioning, defending, and serving in the fiduciary guardian role in high conflict matters.

Stacy Elizabeth Thompson is a Partner at Bluestein & Nichols, LLC, where she focuses her practice on Social Security Disability Law. Ms. Thompson is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives and has been elected to serve on its Board to represent two different federal circuits. Ms. Thompson has also served in leadership positions in numerous bar association committees on Social Security Disability. She has spoken and written widely on case evaluation, initial interviews and case development.
