Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Sahar Ayinehsazian is a Partner at Vicente Sederberg, where she is a leading member of the firm's Corporate Department. Ms. Ayinehsazian guides multi-state operators in the cannabis industry in their expansion into new markets across the U.S. and advises businesses, investors, and other law firms on the nuances of executing corporate transactions involving licensed and ancillary cannabis companies. Ms. Ayinehsazian previously served as the director of regulatory and governmental affairs at a multi-state money transmitter servicing the cannabis industry, where she developed a comprehensive understanding of credit card flow, banking and cannabis compliance. Using her specialized knowledge, Ms. Ayinehsazian helped establish and currently co-leads the firm’s Banking and Financial Services Access practice. In addition to helping cannabis and cannabis-related businesses establish traditional banking relationships, she assists third-party payment providers with compliance related to state and federal cannabis banking guidelines. As a member of the National Cannabis Industry Association’s Banking & Financial Services Committee, Ms. Ayinehsazian works on strategy and educational advocacy to enable state-licensed businesses to obtain accounts at depository institutions. She is a go-to source for businesses, industry groups, and reporters seeking opinions, analysis, and guidance on cannabis and hemp corporate, banking and financial services matters.

2. Mark J. Neuberger practices at Foley & Lardner LLP, where he focuses on the representation of management in all areas of employment law, including general labor and employment guidance to clients. He regularly represents clients in the health care, hospitality, manufacturing and not-for-profit industries. He is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment and Private Equity & Venture Capital Practices as well as the Health Care Industry Team and the Technology Industry Team. Mr. Neuberger represents employers in employment litigation before administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and National Labor Relations Board, arbitration tribunals, as well as state and federal trial and appellate courts. He has extensive experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreements with unions. He also negotiates and drafts executive level employment agreements. Mr. Neuberger also advises clients on a variety of business-related immigration issues, including audits of employers' compliance with immigration and labor regulations, preparation of employment-based immigrant visa petitions, preparation of investment and professional visas, and labor certifications. Prior to a career in law, he worked for ten years in the Human Resource department of a Fortune 100 corporation.

3. John K. Londot is a Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, where he practices in commercial, constitutional, employment, administrative and professional regulatory law, including alcoholic beverages, cannabis, and fitness club regulation. Well-versed in the varieties of litigation, Mr. Londot sees complex matters to trial and through appeal and has first-chaired jury trials in both state and federal courts. He has represented elected officials in connection with their constitutional and statutory responsibilities, public officials and employees in proceedings before state Commissions on Ethics and the Division of Administrative Hearings, and students and staff in connection with disciplinary proceedings. As a Certified Cyber Threat Forensic Investigator (CTFI) and Certified Cyber Investigative Expert (CCIE), Mr. Londot also has a particular interest in computer law. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Landot served in the United States Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As a military defense counsel, he served as a criminal defense attorney at Yokosuka, Japan in more than 50 jury and bench trials of cases ranging from murder, sexual assault, fraud, and Espionage Act violations (for the trial of which Mr. Landot received a Top Secret/SCI clearance), and was by-name requested to temporarily fill the position of Deputy General Counsel to Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Japan. In appreciation to those who serve, he now represents, on a pro bono basis, members of the United States armed services in connection with disciplinary actions and in pursuit of writs of habeas corpus. Mr. Landot is a graduate of Emory University School of Law.
