Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. David N. Feldman is a Partner at Duane Morris LLP, where he represents a wide range of clients, including entrepreneurial companies, investors, lenders, investment banking firms and other businesses, in the emerging legal cannabis industry. He provides guidance on private placements, public offerings, loan structuring and fund formation for cannabis companies, as well as corporate structuring advice and applications for grow, processing and dispensary licenses. He also advises on risk assessment issues for large, multinational businesses seeking to enter the cannabis industry. Mr. Feldman serves as a team lead of Duane Morris’ Cannabis Industry Group. He has been recognized as a leading attorney in the cannabis industry by Business Insider and the National Law Journal. He frequently speaks at industry conferences and is quoted by numerous publications about legal developments and business news in this rapidly expanding market. Mr. Feldman is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has served as chair of the board of Wharton’s global alumni association.

2. Jerome T. Levy is a Partner at Duane Morris LLP, where he practices in the area of health law and cannabis regulation. Mr. Levy has conducted a wide range of administrative negotiations and civil litigation on behalf of health care providers with State and Federal regulatory authorities. He negotiates and prepares agreements and other documents related to mergers and acquisitions and other transfers of ownership and also handles licensure applications for new operators, professional discipline matters and new construction for all types of health care facilities, including regulatory approvals and financing. Mr. Levy represents hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic and treatment centers, adult living providers, private practice physicians, physician and dental practice management companies, and other health care providers in all phases of their operations. Mr. Levy was the general counsel to his state's Department of Health and supervised an office of more than 40 lawyers involved in all phases of healthcare regulation in New York State. Mr. Levy served in the New York Regional Attorney's office of the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare and was responsible for counseling the Public Health Service, the Social Rehabilitation Service, the Social Security Administration (including Medicare), the Office of Long Term Care and other agencies. Mr. Levy is a graduate of New York University Law School.

3. Mark J. Neuberger practices at Foley & Lardner LLP, where he focuses on the representation of management in all areas of employment law, including general labor and employment guidance to clients. He regularly represents clients in the health care, hospitality, manufacturing and not-for-profit industries. He is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment and Private Equity & Venture Capital Practices as well as the Health Care Industry Team and the Technology Industry Team. Mr. Neuberger represents employers in employment litigation before administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and National Labor Relations Board, arbitration tribunals, as well as state and federal trial and appellate courts. He has extensive experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreements with unions. He also negotiates and drafts executive level employment agreements. Mr. Neuberger also advises clients on a variety of business-related immigration issues, including audits of employers' compliance with immigration and labor regulations, preparation of employment-based immigrant visa petitions, preparation of investment and professional visas, and labor certifications. Prior to a career in law, he worked for ten years in the Human Resource department of a Fortune 100 corporation.
