Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Salvatore LaMendola is a Partner at Giarmarco, Mullins and Horton, P.C., where he focuses on estate planning, post-death trust administration, planning for retirement plan benefits, and modifying irrevocable trusts via trust "decanting" and other techniques. He is a member of the LL.M. adjunct law faculty at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Mr. LaMendola has been published in CCH Financial and Estate Planning; the M. Probate and Estate Planning Journal, and the State Bar Journal. He has also authored the book Estate Planning for Catholics: A Guide to Doing God's Will in Your Will (and Other Estate Planning Documents) which is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other book sellers.

2. Jeffrey L. Williamson is the founder of J. L. Williamson Law Group, LLC, where he specializes in asset protection, elder law, tax planning, and tax controversy. Mr. Williamson has considerable experience in federal and state taxation, estate and gift taxation, income taxation of partnerships, taxation issues unique to tax-exempt entities, federal tax controversies and is well versed in the audit policies and procedures of the Internal Revenue Service. His estate planning practice focuses mainly on helping clients protect their assets from creditor claims and minimizing federal estate tax liability. Through his skill at drafting trusts and other types of sophisticated agreements, Mr. Williamson is able to help clients maximize their long-term care benefits while also preserving their children’s inheritance. He is a highly sought-after lecturer on taxation and estate planning issues. Mr. Williamson began his career with the Small Business/Self-Employed Division of the Internal Revenue Service and then served as in-house counsel to two mid-sized accounting firms.
