Recorded Question & Answer Session Biography of Seminar Faculty: 1.
Don D. Ford is a Partner at Ford + Bergner LLP, where he is Board Certified in the area of estate planning and probate. He has been appointed by his state’s Chief Justice to serve on on the Guardianship Certification Board, which is a 15-member board that creates policy and oversees the regulation of private professional guardians. Mr. Ford is also a certified mediator, having attended the world-renowned Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. He uses this background to mediates matters involving probate and guardianship. Mr. Ford graduated from Baylor University with degrees in accounting and law. He began his career as a Tax Attorney for a large international accounting and consulting firm, where he assisted clients primarily in the areas of estate and gift tax and personal income tax. The combination of his tax-related degrees and his experience working as a tax attorney have given Mr. Ford a strong background in the areas of estate planning and probate, and he has focused his attention and expertise in these areas ever since.

Scott Alan Mitchell is a Shareholder at Saxton & Stump, where he serves as a Chair of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Group. Mr. Mitchell has been in practice for nearly three decades, representing individuals, families, business owners, and corporate fiduciaries and trustees in all aspects of estate and trust planning matters from complex to basic, business succession planning, asset protection and tax planning, special needs planning, long-term care planning/elder law, and guardianships, among others. He also counsels executors, trustees and corporate fiduciaries involving the administration of estates and the ongoing administration of various types of trusts, including special needs trusts. Mr. Mitchell is a highly sought-after speaker and author on estate planning, special needs planning and long-term care planning.

David Warren is Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Bridgeford Trust Company, as well as a member of the Trust Administrative Committee. He is also President and CEO of Bridgeford Advisors dba Bridgeford – a sister company operating throughout the country and around the world providing consultative, planning, business development, and marketing support to Bridgeford Trust Company. Mr. Warren has decades of professional experience practicing law and working in the financial services industry serving the trust and wealth management needs of high and ultra-high net worth families across the nation and around the world. Mr. Warren previously served at a well-known bank as a Vice President/Senior Trust Administrator. In this position, he worked extensively with wealthy families and individuals on a variety of trust and fiduciary issues. He subsequently transitioned to Bank of New York Mellon, focusing on ultra-high net worth families to counsel on tax planning, asset protection, and legacy planning. Mr. Warren is a highly sought-after speaker on modern and progressive U.S. trust law and has published widely on trust and estate planning topics.
