Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Sarah J. Barnes is an attorney and trust officer with the Bank of Sun Prairie, where she handles all types of trust and estate administration matters. Ms. Barnes also deals with tax-related matters. She previously was in private practice, where she practiced in the areas of estate planning, probate, elder law, and frequently served as a court-appointed guardian ad litem in guardianship matters. She is a widely sought-after lecturer on estate planning and irrevocable trusts.

2. Joshua R. Driskell is the Managing Partner at Lagerlof, LLP, where he focuses on business, tax, estate, fiduciary, and related matters. He previously practiced at a multi-state law firm Mockensturm Limited, where he advised business, nonprofit agencies, and individuals on tax and business matters. Mr. Driskell has spoken widely on IRA's in Estate Planning, Trust Planning, and Trust Administration.

3. John R. Harrison is Counsel at Ulmer & Berne LLP, where he protects the rights and the assets of seniors and people with special needs. Mr. Harrison has over 25 years of experience handling all aspects of trust and estate planning and administration. He works with families to develop estate plans, to protect their wealth, and to ensure that their wishes are fulfilled over the long-term, including serving as trustee or guardian when family cannot fill that important role. Mr. Harrison also helps his clients with probate and trust litigation, and the maintenance of public benefits. Mr. Harrison formulates various estate planning arrangements including asset protection and probate avoidance techniques for clients tailored to their specific needs. Notably, he served as lead counsel in hi state's Supreme Court case that guaranteed the rights of wards under guardianship, which led to counsel being appointed at court expense in review hearings of those who cannot afford their own lawyer. He has also been named to The Best Lawyers in America for Trusts and Estates. Mr. Harrison has spoken and written widely on trust and estate planning, elder law, special needs trusts, health liens, and long-term planning, among other topics.
