Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Ronald Fatoullah is a nationally recognized elder law attorney with, with a focus on helping clients understand the legal and financial challenges of aging. He has been honored by many organizations for his achievements and contributions to the senior citizen community and has an eight year inclusion as one of the “Best Lawyers”® in his state, in the fields of elder law & trusts & estates and a seven consecutive year inclusion as a “Super Lawyer”. Mr. Fatoullah lectures frequently to both the public and private factors on aging, elder law estate planning. His contributing articles may be found in the New York Times, Newsday, the Wall Street Journal, and various online publications devoted to senior citizen issues. He was recently named Co-Chair of the Financial Planning and Investments Committee of the Elder Law and Special Needs Section of hsi state bar association and selected to serve on the Executive Council of AARP.

2. Judith Grimaldi is a partner in the pioneering elder law firm Grimaldi & Yeung LLP. Ms. Grimaldi’s perspective on the issues facing the elderly and disabled is unique; it was shaped by more than a decade of field experience as a social worker. In this capacity, Ms. Grimaldi served as Director of a prominent Community Care Organization and as a college instructor in Gerontology. In addition, she was a community relations and family coordinator at a large psychiatric center. Each of these positions provided Ms. Grimaldi with unique, first-hand encounters with the day-to-day impact of aging and disability. As an attorney for the past two decades, Ms. Grimaldi has represented the rights of the elderly and disabled. She has special expertise on Medicare and Medicaid, health law, trusts and wills and estates. Her particular focus is on family caregivers and homecare. Ms. Grimaldi is a Certified Elder Law Attorney. She has received numerous awards of excellence in practice, including being named one of her state's "Best Lawyers," listed as aSuperLawyer, and being peer review rated for ethical standards and legal ability through Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Grimaldi is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, is the Immediate Past President of of her state's NAELA Chapter, serves as an editor of the NAELA NEWS and is a member of NAELA’s Council of Advanced Practitioners, and serves on the Executive Committee of her state bar association's Elder Law Section, among numerous bar leadership positions. She has written on elder law issues for Newsday and has appeared on the "New York Voices" program for PBS as well as Bill Moyers’ PBS special on end of life choices.

3. Laurie G. Steiner is a leading elder law attorney and a member of the law firm Budish, Solomon, Steiner & Peck, Ltd. Her practice is focused on life care planning, elder law, estate planning, and probate. Ms. Steiner is a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for veterans’ benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs. Ms. Steiner is a highly sought-after expert and speaker on Elder Law, Medicaid/Disability Planning and Estate Planning. She has contributed her work in numerous magazines and has been called upon to share her expertise on several televisions programs.
