Biography of Seminar Faculty:

James R. Mozingo is the Managing Partner of Mozingo | Quarles, PLLC, where he focuses his practice on business and commercial transactions and in the areas of business and commercial litigation, bankruptcy and debtor/creditor relations. Mr. Mozingo has practiced for over 40 years and is an AV, peer-rated, lawyer in the Martindale-Hubbell listings. He has been named as one of his state’s 50 leading attorneys and served on the Board of Bar Admissions, examining in the fields of business organizations and bankruptcy. Mr. Mozingo has also served on numerous committees with the National Conference of Bar Examiners. He has handled a wide variety of transactions throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, Italy and Spain and with companies in the Far East. He has appeared in state and Federal courts throughout the nation. Mr. Mozingo has spoken widely on veil piercing and protection.

James Moylan is a leading authority on securities and commodity futures litigation practice. He also counsels business owners on: types of business entities, formation of business entities, governing documents and governance, reporting, compliance and best practices. He began his career in 1972 as a Trial Attorney in the Division of Enforcement at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. In 1975, Mr. Moylan joined the Chicago Board Options Exchange, Inc., as Assistant General Counsel. In 1977, he began private practice. Over the last more than four decades, Mr. Moylan has become one of the go-to practitioners in complex litigation and matters affecting business owners. He has authored over a dozen law review articles and is a highly sought-after lecturer nationally. Mr. Moylan serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law.

Tod Northman is a Partner at Tucker Ellis, LLP, where he has almost 25 years of broad business and corporate law experience in commercial law, business transactions, artificial intelligence technology, contract negotiation and dispute resolution, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate. With a skillful combination of negotiations and corporate counseling, Mr. Northman helps guide clients through complex legal situations. He represents publicly traded and privately held companies in diverse industries across the country and has particular expertise in the aviation and autonomous vehicles industries. Mr. Northam also represents cargo conversion companies, maintenance and repair organizations, financial institutions, high-net worth individuals, and middle-market corporations in connection with the acquisition and disposition of corporate and commercial aircraft portfolios and the related financing and/or leasing thereof. He advises clients on conversion contracts, maintenance, service and supply contracts, leases, and FAA and DOT regulatory matters. Mr. Northam focuses on advising businesses on acquisitions, contract negotiation, corporate structure, artificial intelligence technology, and regulatory compliance. He is a graduate of New York University and Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
