Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Sean R. Callagy is the Founder and President of Callagy Law, which has a team over 100 legal professionals and spams four states. He is one of only two attorneys in America to have Two Top 100 National Jury Verdicts over the past few years. He is the leader of a medical revenue recovery team that has recovered over 300 million dollars for healthcare providers in unpaid and underpaid claims from insurance carriers. Mr. Callagy is a graduate of Columbia University and Seton Hall Law School.

2. Vincent DePalo is a Partner at Smith Duggan Buell & Rufo LLP, where he concentrates on complex civil litigation, particularly toxic torts, products liability, and insurance defense. His courtroom experience includes a defense verdict in the first joint asbestos-tobacco exposure trial in his state’s history. Mr. DePalo has been published in both legal and scientific journals. Most recently, he co-authored a chapter in the Claims Professional Desk Reference. He has also conducted research at one of the country’s leading hospital’s neuro-radiation oncology laboratory and has published about cancer genetics. In addition to his law practice, Mr. DePalo has served as an adjunct professor at Northeastern School of Law, where he has taught torts.

3. Michael Smikun practices at Callagy Law, where he has obtained jury verdicts for $33 million and another for $27.6 million. He also successfully argued and won cases in the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fifth, and Ninth Circuits; various state trial and appellate courts across the country. He has won cases valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients. Mr. Smikun is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law.
