Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Denise Appleby is the CEO of Appleby Retirement Consulting Inc., where she focuses on IRA tools and resources. She has nearly two decades of experience in the retirement plans field, and has co-authored several books and written over 400 articles on IRA rules and regulations. Ms. Appleby has held several senior retirement plans related positions with Pershing LLC and extensive experience with training the staff and financial advisors of many broker-dealers on retirement plans related topics. She has also provided training to hundreds of financial advisors, as well as tax and legal professionals on the rules and regulations that govern IRAs, SEP IRAs, SIMPLE IRAs and qualified plans. Ms. Appleby's wealth of knowledge in retirement plans led to her making appearances on CNBC's Business News, Fox Business Network and numerous radio shows, as wells as being quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business Daily, CBS Marketwatch's Retirement Weekly and other financial publications, where she gave insights on retirement planning. Her expertise and knack of explaining complex retirement plans rules and regulation, so that they are easily understood, created a demand for her to speak at various conferences and seminars around the country. With her experience, interests and qualifications dedicated to retirement plans, Ms. Appleby has co-authored several books on retirement accounts: Roth IRA Answer Book (Aspen Publishers); Quick Reference to IRAs (Aspen Publishers) and Adviser's Guide to Retirement Plans for Small Businesses (AICPA). She is a graduate of the John Marshall Law School.

2. Salvatore LaMendola is a Partner at Giarmarco, Mullins and Horton, P.C., where he focuses on estate planning, post-death trust administration, planning for retirement plan benefits, and modifying irrevocable trusts via trust "decanting" and other techniques. He is a member of the LL.M. adjunct law faculty at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Mr. LaMendola has been published in CCH Financial and Estate Planning; the M. Probate and Estate Planning Journal, and the State Bar Journal. He has also authored the book Estate Planning for Catholics: A Guide to Doing God's Will in Your Will (and Other Estate Planning Documents) which is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other book sellers.

3. Rosanna Roizin is the Founding Member of Rosanna Roizin Law, where she concentrates on trusts and estates, elder law and special needs planning. Ms. Roizin was a partner and founding member of Roizin & Volkova Law Group PLLC and previously to that an Equal Justice Works Fellow at Center for Family Representation, during which time she represented psychiatrically disabled parents in New York County Family Court. As part of her commitment to public service, Ms. Roizin provides legal assistance to indigent seniors at her local community center. She is a graduate of City University of New York School of Law. She is a member of her State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and Trusts and Estates Section.
