Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Jennifer Modell practices at Caroselli, Beachler, McTiernan and Conboy, where her practice is concentrated in the areas of social security disability, veterans’ benefits and long-term disability claims. Ms. Modell represents social security clients at the administrative level as well as in Federal Court and has spoken widely about social security matters to the general public as well as to practicing attorneys. She is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR) and a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Committee on Law and Disability. She is an active member supporter of Autism. Ms Modell is a graduate of the University of Chicago and the Northwestern University School of Law.

2. Matthew W. Weeks is a partner at the law firm of Carl P. Kasunic Co., L.P.A., where his practices focuses on social security disability/supplemental security income, private disability, domestic relations, juvenile law, injury, general civil litigation, and serving as guardian ad-litem for children and adults. He has successfully represented children and adults with their disability claims at the administrative and federal court levels. His experience also includes successfully representing clients at both the federal and state courts of appeals. His strong legal writing and appellate advocacy skills have led to successful remands of ALJ decisions in the Appeals Council and Federal Court. His most rewarding work involves helping children and the disabled. He is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives.

3. Howard S. Goldman has 36 years of experience practicing law. He devotes his practice to plaintiffs’ personal injury claims, applicants’ worker’s compensation cases and claimants’ social security disability claims. After graduating with a B.A. in history from Yale University in 1972, he served as Peace Corps Volunteer in Afghanistan. Upon returning to the United States he earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a highly sought-after lecturer on social security disability and worker’s compensation claims.
