Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Jay Itkowitz is a national expert on landlord and tenant law. The founding partner of Itkowitz PLLC, Mr. Itkowitz focuses his practice on real estate litigation and transactions. He has been instrumental in major real estate development and has been at the forefront of many of New York City's most famed residential and commercial real estate projects. He has lectured extensively on leases, remedies in real estate contracts, and landlord/tenant law. He began his career as a law clerk to a federal judge and as a Kings County Supreme Court Judge.

2. Mindy H. Stern is a Partner at Schoeman Updike & Kaufman, where her practice focuses on real estate law. She has extensive experience in leasing, acquisition, lending, as well as providing personal services to individuals in real estate law. Ms. Stern began her career as a federal law clerk, and previously practiced at Hughes Hubbard & Reed. She has been nominated by her peers as a SuperLawyer as well as named to Real Estate Weekly's 100 Women Real Estate Leaders for the 21st Century. Ms. Stern is an authority on and has spoken widely on real estate transactions, cooperatives, condominiums, and mortgages.
