Learn the play the greatest sport on earth! Learn to play Hockey!

Directed by Ryan Doner & Ian Doner

Hockey is more than just a game. It’s a lifestyle. Our Level 2 Advanced Adult Learn to Play hockey program is for hockey players 18 years or older who have passed Level 1 Adult Learn to Play or have some previous hockey experience. Our goal is to expand the hockey community and prepare players for the next step in their hockey career, to join the Greater Seattle Hockey League! Each week our professional hockey instructors will teach the most important skills and drills that are necessary to play the game. Every session will start with advanced power skating and edgework to develop and improve skating ability, including single leg inside and outside edges, transitions, forward and backward crossovers, and crossover starts. Stickhandling and In-Motion Shooting exercises will be implemented to improve puck control and shot power/accuracy. In addition, participants will perform USA Hockey approved drills that are proven to enhance Hockey IQ and on-ice awareness. Competitive and fun small area games/scrimmages will be supplemented to end each skate. In just 10 short weeks you will be ready to play in the big leagues!

Each player must have all hockey gear as required by USA Hockey. Kent Valley Ice Centre offers an equipment gear package for players in our Adult Learn-to-Play-Hockey Program at special discounts. Your gear package includes: Helmet, Skates, Pants, Shin Pads, Shoulder Pads, Elbow Pads, Gloves, Jock, and stick. Jerseys & socks will be provided at no cost to every participant. Due to Covid-19, spots are very limited, so please register early!
