Sept 19, 2020 - A 2 day celebration! Day 1 : Bring your fruits for display or ID. Bring your paring knife for tasting! Learn how to grow fruit with Dr. Evans - special guest speaker. September 19TH Bring your apples for ID or display your apples Just like an old time country garden fair! Dr. Evans speaking at 11:00 Open discussion and sampling. Bring a sample of 5-7 of your apples you want to show case or identify. Set up starting at 11:00 Simple and easy! Put your fruit on a paper plate for display. Bring a paring knife for sampling. Guest speaker - Dr. Evans - always interesting and always informative! Dr. Evans can identify 80% of most apples grown in Alberta. September is a great month for fruit planting. There will be lots of interesting trees to purchase. Come network and rub elbows with fruit growing enthusiasts. Day 2 - Fruit display and conversation continues. Guest Bat Biologist Susan Holroyd (Alberta Community Bat Program) will be speaking and fielding any and all bat questions. Hike the new bat trail and check out the BAT CAVE. Fun, fun fun.
