Christmas Gift

Merry Christmas! The approaching Christmas season is a wonderful reminder of God’s great love for us. A love so great, that God made himself small. “Small enough to fit in a manger,” (Verbum Domini 12), so that we might encounter Him fully.

And now, more than ever, people throughout the world need to encounter our Savior. Thankfully, in these uncertain times, we have our faith in the birth of the infant Jesus to provide us with hope.

Whether our missionaries are serving in Africa, Asia, Latin America, or North America, the call to become humble, like our infant Lord, rings true for all. Just as Mary and Joseph traveled great distances in difficult circumstances, our missionaries do the same to help people suffering and in great need of Christ’s love and hope.

You too can help by making a year-end, tax-deductible donation to the Comboni Missionaries. Even the smallest gift can literally save dozens of lives. In Uganda, Sr. Maria Luisa Micolli, CMS works with women and children affected by HIV. For just $50 Sr. Maria can buy milk for the children who cannot breastfeed because their mothers are HIV Positive. A simple donation saves the lives of these young innocent babies, and provides their families with hope and the assurance that they are not forgotten.

Help us continue to provide clean water, food, medical assistance and education to people in need. These are the essential ingredients for hope.

Your generosity, whatever you can afford, will give birth to hope in places where hope is so desperately needed. Many blessings to you during this joyous season.
