I attempt to keep my website current, but on rare occasions an item may appear to be available after it has been sold. This is due to a past computer problem that lost some updates and occasionally an order will arrive shortly after another for the same item, before I have removed it from available inventory. In such cases, the buyer will be notified and a refund will be issued
TERMS OF BUSINESS
Payments may be made through Paypal, when checking out. I also accept other means of payment and am willing to negotiate instalment terms. Medals can be reserved by placing them in a "shopping cart" and using the "pay by check" option, and contacting me to signal your interest in those items and your proposed payment method.
All medals are guaranteed to be as described and are sent on fifteen days approval.
OVERSEAS BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: An additional charge for registered mail, insurance or for the shipping of books may be added to overseas orders.
Orders are typically processed within twenty-four hours.
GRADING
The great majority of the medals on this website are pleasing examples of their kind. In general, I don't designate the condition of a medal, since the grading of medals is very subjective and varies considerably from person to person. I invite visitors to assess the condition of a medal by viewing its pictures. Where I do assign a desription of the condition, I use a conservative grading scale that does not use the term "uncirculated," since medals, by definition, do not circulate. I use "extremely fine" to describe medals that are in their original condition or close to it. I use "very fine" to describe medals that are not quite in their original condition, but are still attractive. I also use the qualifiers "good" and "nearly." When a medal has an obvious defect, such as an edge bump or an uneven patina, I note it in the description.
