Students 3rd and above use the Black Learning Log to build their Spelling Notebook. The reference pages are built in the back of the book as students follow the teacher's instruction. We suggest using this 50 page notebook instead of the 100 page notebook because the latter is often bulky making if difficult for children to have proper penmanship. Very often these notebooks have too few lines for the Reference Pages, plus each year you will have many wasted blank pages. We suggest each teacher have a Black Learning Log to build the Master Teacher's Log at the Advanced Level starting with Section P in the Wise List. It is very important for the teacher to build her own Master Log.
