A: Paperwork Solutions teamed up with FileMaker Inc., the global leader in database technology, in order to provide teachers with easy-to-use tools to reduce the time and energy required to do many of their daily documentation tasks. Paperwork Solutions met strict business guidelines and passed high standards of software development in order to be qualified as a FileMaker Business Alliance (FBA) Associate member. As a FBA member, Paperwork Solutions may legally sell its "fuel," FileMaker Pro, to customers in order to run the company's own unique K-12 database solutions.
Q: May I purchase Paperwork Solutions/ClassACT software with state allocation for instruction funds?
A: Yes. This is also true in the state of Alabama (Alabama Ethics Commission, October 2005). Paperwork Solutions has also been approved by the Mobile County Public School System's (MCPSS) Purchasing Department to sell to educators and schools in the MCPSS. The final decision to purchase Paperwork Solutions' database programs with government/state allocation funds, however, will ultimately be determined by your school or school district officials. Regardless of your geographic location in the country, custom software (such as the Paperwork Solutions Software Suite) does not generally incur school, school district, state, or federal government (such as Title I) purchasing restrictions, nor does custom software require being on a special "bid list."
