Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Carl Fiore is the Managing Director of Andersen Tax where he has significant experience with tax and financial matters affecting entrepreneurs, executives and other high net worth individuals. He has worked with numerous families and closely held businesses to develop and implement wealth maximization plans through the use of family entities, income tax planning, stock option planning, charitable giving strategies, and effective gift and estate tax planning. Mr. Fiore’s primary practice areas are gift and estate planning as well as fiduciary income tax. He also has experience in federal and state income tax consulting and compliance for individuals, partnerships, fiduciaries, estates, corporations and private foundations. He is a lead member of the firm’s estate planning group, which has extensive experience in serving the estate, gift, and fiduciary tax consulting and compliance needs of corporate and private trustees as well as individuals. Mr. Fiore is a highly sought-after lecturer and author on tax planning matters. He holds an LLM in estate planning.

2. Norman S. Newmark practices at AEGIS Professional Services-Law Group, where he focuses on tax, estate planning and corporate matters. Mr. Newmark has an extensive transactional practice involving sophisticated trusts, business entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, buy-sell agreements, and other recognized planning for individuals, health care practices, businesses and non-profit entities. Mr. Newmark has represented individuals and businesses in tax controversies before the Internal Revenue Service, state tax departments, and various tax tribunals including the US Tax Court. Mr. Newmark drafted key provisions of his state’s Uniform Powers of Appointment Act that were recently enacted into law. He has published articles in state and national legal periodicals on various tax related topics ranging from mergers and acquisitions to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. He holds a JD and LLM in Taxation from the Washington University School of Law.

3. Brandon M. Schwartz is a trial attorney with Schwartz Law Firm. He is certified by his state bar as a civil trial specialist. Mr. Schwartz focuses his practice primarily on business law and business litigation involving such matters as shareholder disputes, derivative actions, contract creation and litigation, company formation, and discrimination. He is a frequent speaker and author on business and commercial litigation in publications and seminars nationally. Mr. Schwartz has been listed in Super Lawyers multiple times, is a life-member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from America’s Top 100 Attorneys, and is a Lifetime Member of Best Attorneys of America.
