Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Stephen M. Hladik is a Principal at Hladik, Onorato & Federman, LLP, where he brings a broad range of experience to his mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, tax sale and UDAAP legal practice. Formerly a Deputy Attorney General in charge for the state Bureau of Consumer Protection, Mr. Hladik gained significant expertise in lending law enforcement while serving in the state Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection, handling UDAP, FDCPA, RESPA and TILA cases. He was the managing attorney in his state for one of the nation’s largest creditor’s rights firms, practicing mortgage foreclosure and bankruptcy law. He routinely teaches Continuing Legal Education courses on mortgage law, bankruptcy law, title law, real estate tax sale law, FDCPA and CFPB regulations, and related lending law compliance issues. Mr. Hladik also serves the mortgage servicing industry by serving as Vice Chair of the Advisory Council of the Legal League 100 and having previously chaired the Government Affairs Committee of the Legal League 100. He also serves on various committees of the ALFN.

2. John Mayer is one of the country’s leading debt collection and enforcement attorneys. Mr. Mayer is a Shareholder at Ross Banks, where he concentrates his practice on collection law. Mr. Mayer has published and spoken widely on demand and notice letters, creditors’ rights, the effect of bankruptcy on the collection process, fraudulent transfers, settlement strategies for collections attorneys, and post judgment remedies. He is a certified Civil Trial Lawyer by his state's Board of Legal Specialization, has nearly four decades of experience in litigation, and holds a law degree from the University of Texas.

3. David S. Musgrave is a Member at Gordon Feinblatt LLC, where he practices bankruptcy law. He focuses on the representation of secured and unsecured creditors, including advice and litigation regarding loan workouts, financings, contract disputes and related matters. In addition, Mr. Musgrave provides counsel to banks and financial institutions regarding creditor's rights matters, including commercial and corporate finance and real estate matters. His representation includes commercial loan documentation as well as the creation and perfection of security interests in personal property. Mr. Musgrave has been rated by his peers as "AV Preeminent" in Martindale-Hubbell, named as a SuperLawyer for Bankruptcy and Real Estate, named to Best Lawyers in American, and listed in Chambers USA for Bankruptcy/Restructuring. He is a widely sought-after speaker and lecturer on creditor's rights, bankruptcy, and restructuring.
