Upon completion of this course, the dental hygienist will be able to:
*Describe the condition of a patient in each of the four stages of anesthesia
*Evaluate medical histories
*Accurately take and record vital signs and interpret results
*Properly titrate the dose of nitrous oxide
*Discuss the physical and chemical properties of nitrous oxide
*Discuss the potential for abuse of nitrous oxide
*Review signs that patients are experiencing an adverse reaction to the nitrous oxide
*Discuss the potential life threatening situations related to nitrous oxide analgesia
*Identify risk and potential hazards of long term use
*Demonstrate appropriate record keeping
*Recognize and manage complications of nitrous oxide
*Identify proper patient selection, indications and contraindications in the use of nitrous oxide.
Course Fees: 2 days for $450.00
Cancelation Policy: Participants will receive a full refund minus a $75.00 processing fee if you cancel at least 45 days before the course. The participants will receive a 50% refund if you cancel less than 45 days before the course.
