METHOD TO-14
VOLATILE ORGANIC CHEMICALS (VOC'S)
PETROLEUM AND INDUSTRIAL CHEMICALS
- The VOC's searched for with
Method TO-14 include common man-made chemicals that are constituents
of gasoline, petroleum products, cleaning agents, chlorinated
solvents, industrial chemicals and commercial products. If you
store chemicals in your building, live near a factory or gasoline
station or anywhere where chemicals are stored, used or disposed
of this method can be used to sample indoor air and determine
if VOC's are in the air you are breathing. Potential sources
of VOC's include stored chemicals, leaking containers, wind carried
vapors from industrial sources, groundwater contamination that
enters buildings through sump holes and other avenues.
