ASTM Method D-5504; Reduced Sulfur Compounds; Hydrogen Sulfide (Rotten Egg Odor, Swamp Gas)

Category:Indoor Air Testing Services SKU: D-5504 $425.00

ASTM Method D-5504
Reduced Sulfur Compounds,
Hydrogen Sulfide (Rotten Egg Odor, Swamp Gas)
Sulfur compounds include natural anaerobic decomposition chemicals such as hydrogen sulfide and man-made chemicals used as odorants in natural gases and other products. These chemicals have one thing in common - a strong rotten egg odor, even when the chemical is present at very low levels. Sewer gas leakage, swamp gas from drinking water wells, natural gas leaks and industrial use are some of the common sources of these chemicals. If you have a rotten egg smell in your building, use this method to sample and test for reduced sulfur compounds.
